Join us for this 2-hour course run by our Head Gardener, Kerry French, at our trial grounds in Birch Green, Hertfordshire. The course will include a presentation on grafting roses onto root stock.
After the presentation there will be a practical demonstration and an opportunity to have a go yourself.
All necessary materials will be provided. Once grafted, the rose will be yours to take home.
The site has access for robust wheelchairs. The practical elements of the course will be held outside, so suitable clothes and suitable footwear are a must. Please bring your own gloves and budding knives; alternatively, these will be available to purchase on the day.
Rochfords International Rose Trials is the only independent trial ground testing unnamed seedling roses in the UK. The site provides a unique opportunity for breeders to trial roses which have not been released commercially.
