My name is Polly and I’m a gardener based in North Bristol.
I come from a family of keen gardeners and have enjoyed gardening and nature from a young age. After years working in an office-based job I decided to take the leap and retrain in horticulture. I completed an RHS level 2 in horticulture at the Botanic Gardens in Bristol and then set up as self-employed gardener.
In my spare time I’m an allotmenteer, growing a lot of my own food, and I volunteer in a local community garden. I also have two young children and am always interested in ways to get children involved in nature and gardening no matter the size of the space available.
I enjoy working with clients to help them achieve the garden they want. Whether you’re someone who has no clue about gardening but a clear vision of what you want and need advice along the way, or someone who is green-fingered but lacks time to do the work, I can help you.
My particular areas of interest are wildlife gardening, small space gardening, gardening sustainably and growing food. I keep up with professional development to ensure my skills and knowledge are up-to-date.
Garden maintenance services I offer include weeding, pruning, planting, general tidy ups, vegetable gardening and low hedge maintenance. I don’t currently work at heights or remove green waste.
I provide a border design service alongside garden maintenance, providing planting plans for new or existing borders.
If youāre not sure where to start I also offer one hour garden walk-arounds where I can make suggestions and offer advice followed by a written report.
If you have a garden you love but are not able to physically do the work yourself I’m happy to work alongside you as a companion gardener.
I work year-round and offer a friendly, reliable service. If I don’t know something I will always be honest about that and research it before taking action.
