I am a gardener with over 25 years gardening experience.
I have a wide range of gardening skills from pruning (Roses, Wysteria, shrubs, vines etc) to vegetable and fruit gardening to topiary.
With a preference to organic gardening, I do also have my spraying license.
I have embraced the no dig method, especially for vegetables. The use of mulches and hand weeding with companion planting to keep weeds at bay. Also looking at weeds in a different way and not all bad!
Starting my journey with the Rhs general (now level 2) and following with a garden design course, I then started my career with private work and in the local garden centre and local nurseries, one wild flower nursery, the other growing mainly alstroemerias and other cut flowers.
I have worked at a large private school as head of horticulture and private gardener to the headmaster and other gardens. Then completing the Rhs level 3.
I then went on to a private garden where I was head gardener for almost 8 years . I have now branched out again as self employed. I love the diversity I get from different people and different gardens.
